Outdoor experience design for hospitality
We design memorable outdoor experiences for agritourism properties, hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and estates. The landscape is not a backdrop: it is part of the experience guests take home.
We start from climate, architecture, the existing landscape and the way the property is lived, integrating gardens, terraces, courtyards, pools, dining areas and natural landscape into one experience.
Improve the guest experience
Create spaces guests want to stay in.
Attract more guests
Create recognisable, photogenic, naturally shareable places.
Strengthen the property’s identity
Build a landscape coherent with the place and the brand.
Organise functions more clearly
Make different spaces and moments of use clearer and more pleasant.
Respond to the local climate
Choose plant systems suited to the real site conditions.
Reduce long-term maintenance
Think about management from the design stage.
Our approach
We don’t start by asking: “Which plants do we put here?”
First we seek to understand: where guests arrive from and how they experience the entrance; when outdoor spaces are used; where shade is needed; where it is pleasant to eat or have a drink; where calm and privacy are needed; which views deserve to be enhanced; which spaces could become the most memorable places of the property.
Only then do we organise space, planting, materials and details around that experience.
Areas of work
01|Outdoor experience
Reorganising the way guests live the outdoor spaces
- arrival experience
- breakfast and dining areas
- lounge and relax
- poolside
- garden walks
- viewpoints and pause areas
02|Comfort
Creating spaces guests truly want to stay in
- shading and microclimate
- proportions of seating and activity areas
- privacy and view control
- evening lighting
- mosquito protection systems
03|Landscape branding
Making the landscape a recognisable part of the brand
- reading the site’s climate and morphology
- dialoguing with architecture, materials, agricultural landscape and local culture
- developing a landscape language rooted in the place
- turning the landscape into part of the brand experience
04|Planting design
Plants are not decoration: they are materials that build the space
- plant systems suited to the project
- flowering and seasonal variation
- real mature dimensions
- privacy and spatial definition
- low-maintenance, drought-tolerant strategies
- specific solutions for pool, restaurant, entrance and room areas
- long-term landscape evolution
05|Landscape & operations
Making the landscape genuinely support the property’s activities
- outdoor dining
- poolside relaxation
- weddings and events
- workshops and wellness activities
- wine and local product tastings
- aromatic and edible gardens
- family and children activities
- seasonal events and photo settings
06|Materials, ground & atmosphere
Building a coherent language between architecture and landscape
- natural stone and gravel
- dry-stone walls and terraces
- outdoor furniture and planters
- coordination between materials and planting
- lighting
- one unified design language
07|Maintenance & evolution
Keeping landscape quality over time, without depending on ever-growing maintenance
- irrigation zoning and water strategy
- seasonal and long-term management
- different maintenance levels for different areas
- controlling pruning frequency and workload
- reducing repetitive, ineffective interventions
For which properties
How we can work together
01|Landscape & outdoor experience consultation
For properties already operating that want to improve their existing outdoor spaces.
- site analysis and diagnosis
- experience and circulation assessment
- planting and shading guidance
- priorities for intervention
02|Focused area redesign
Starting from one high-value space to test a new strategy of use and planting.
- entrance / restaurant terrace / breakfast area
- pool / courtyard / room garden
- viewpoint / outdoor lounge
03|Complete landscape design
For new properties, full renovations or projects that want to rethink outdoor spaces systematically.
- spatial planning / outdoor experience design
- planting design / materials and paving / lighting
- irrigation / technical drawings / cost control
- construction supervision / planting / garden evolution
You can start from one area that strongly affects the guest experience and can change with a targeted intervention: for example, a breakfast area without shade, an unrecognisable entrance, a lawn that is rarely used. Test a new spatial and planting strategy in one key area, then extend it gradually to the rest of the property.

Is your outdoor space already one of the reasons guests choose your property?
If you run an agritourism property, hotel, B&B, restaurant or country estate and want to rethink the garden, terrace, poolside or the entire outdoor experience, we can start by reviewing together what already works, which spaces are underused, and where it is worth beginning.
